Privacy policy

Calorazzo is made by Casebuddy Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Calorazzo app. The short version: there is no account, your food log stays on your phone, and the only thing that leaves it is a meal photo or ingredient name sent for analysis.

What stays on your device

• Your food log: meals, ingredients, amounts, calories and macros.
• The meal photos you take or choose.
• Your settings: daily target, body data for the target calculator, units and reminder times.

We do not have a copy of any of this. If you delete the app or use Delete all data in Settings, it is gone.

What is sent for analysis

When you snap or choose a photo, the app sends that photo to our server, which passes it to Anthropic's Claude AI to identify the food and estimate portions, calories and macros. When you add an ingredient by name, the name and amount are sent the same way. The result comes straight back to your phone.

• We do not store your photos or ingredient names on our server, and we do not use them for anything else.
• Anthropic processes the request to return the result. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

Device identifier

The app creates a random identifier when it is first installed and sends it with each analysis request. It is used only to apply a fair daily limit on scans. It is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or any other information, and the daily counters are deleted automatically after two days.

Apple Health

If you switch on Apple Health in Settings, Calorazzo writes the calories, protein, carbs and fat of each meal to Health, and reads your latest body weight to help suggest a daily target. This data moves only between Calorazzo and Health on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is never used for advertising. You can turn access off at any time in the Health app or in iPhone Settings.

Camera, photos and notifications

• Camera access is used only to take meal photos inside the app.
• Choosing a photo from your library gives the app only the photo you pick.
• Meal reminders are scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server.

What we do not do

• No accounts, no sign-in.
• No advertising and no ad tracking.
• No analytics or tracking tools in the app.
• We do not sell or share personal information.

Purchases

If Calorazzo offers in-app purchases, they are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.

Children

Calorazzo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Health information

Calorie and nutrition values are estimates. Calorazzo is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Talk to a doctor or dietitian before making significant changes to your diet.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
